Os livros do rei do terror Stephen King estão sempre nos corações dos apaixonados pelo gênero, desta vez o famoso The Stand que foi publicado pela primeira vez em 1978, vai virar uma série de para a emissora americana CBS incialmente composto por 10 episódios.
"The Stand" mostra um mundo pós-apocalíptico onde uma praga dizimou mais da metade da população. Adaptada anteriormente para uma minissérie que foi ao ar em 1994 na ABC com Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald e Rob Lowe, ainda não existem detalhes sobre o rumo que a nova releitura vai tomar.
